About Woodbridge Festival of Art & Music
The Festival is a collaborative endeavour bringing together a passionate and eclectic group of local artists, musicians, writers, business professionals, environmentalists, food producers, schools and others in order to put on a distinctive cultural event in East Suffolk.

Aiming for broad appeal and an accessible cover charge (with children under 14 going free), the festival offers live music, visual arts and spoken word for the adults; music, crafts and talks - with a strong focus on the environment - for the kids.

Whilst the event will take place on one weekend in August, our ambition goes beyond that as we aim to inspire and support music, arts and creative industries in the local area. To help turn this into a reality, a proportion of the money raised at the festival will be donated to support music and arts education locally.

Killer Queen Book Launch

Allen Peppitt's Killer Queen was launched on a warm evening on July 4th 2019 at Weybridge Library. More than 50 gathered in the Surrey town to listen to a talk and reading from Allen, who reflected on almost 40 years of teaching and the changes he has witnessed. He spoke of the serious matter of the corporate culture and ambitious managers that are central to his novel, but managed to do so with some humour, working well with Brigand's Peter Holland.

Aflerlives featured in 'The Lady' publication

Brigand author Philip Tew’s debut novel, Afterlives, has been reviewed positively in the prestigious Lady, Britain's longest-running weekly women's magazine, in continuous publication since 1885. According to reviewer, Martyn Colebrook, Philip's book “is a refreshing and confident display which blends memoir and fiction.” He adds “There are scenes in the book that are infused with tenderness, hilarity and a darkly comic streak.” For the full review, see
