The Pale Green Room - Elizabeth Wilde McCormick
The Pale Green Room - Elizabeth Wilde McCormick
The Pale Green Room by Elizabeth Wilde McCormick is the first of three novels featuring Dr Maxwell Maxwell, a London psychotherapist, and his work in that room. Dr Saxon Pierce, a cardiologist, has been involved in a tragic accident involving a baby in Hong Kong and is required to receive psychological treatment. Vera Dodds is at risk of falling apart after being abandoned by her husband. Both patients have to undergo psychological journeys inside and outside the pale green room. At the same time Dr Max undergoes his own crisis requiring him to face his past.
Elizabeth Wilde McCormick has been a working psychotherapist for over thirty years, with experience in both the NHS and private sector. She is the author of a number of successful psychological self-help books, including Change For The Better, Your Heart And You, Surviving Breakdown and Living On The Edge.
Brigand Press is delighted to be supplying The Pale Green Room, which was originally published by Woodyard Publications in 2011. We look forward to publishing the second novel in the trilogy, The Ruthless Furnace, later in 2019.

Reviews
A dark and gritty novel, this is also an intense and fascinating journey into the lives of three very different characters. Brilliantly structured around the kindly therapist's pale green room, the grim and painful truths of their dysfunctional childhoods, which have echoed into their adult lives, are gradually revealed and transcended. This is a profound and moving story of the striving of the human heart, body and mind for wholeness through relationship. A powerful and important book with two more promised to make the trilogy. I can't wait for the next instalment!
